What is a Widow’s Support Group? A widow’s support group is a safe, understanding space for people who’ve lost a spouse or partner to connect with others going through similar grief. What to Expect in Group:
- Share experiences of grief openly and provide mutual support for others experiencing grief.
- Learn coping skills to handle your daily life activities, triggers, events, or holidays
- Help with resources such as financial or legal changes, navigating your social life, and other counseling options available to you.
What are the Requirements?
- Must be experiencing grief-related symptoms caused by the loss of a spouse or partner.
- Must want to learn coping skills to help reduce grief-induced symptoms.
- Must be willing to share openly and honestly about life experiences to foster growth and connectedness in others.
When is the group? The group will be held on Mondays from 1 pm-2 pm PST, starting on March 30th. Group cost is free. The group will be virtual, and the Zoom link will be sent after the interest form is filled out.
